Help Kobi replace the fuel pump and return to work

Kobi drives for a living in Tel Aviv, and a broken fuel pump has stopped all income for 12 weeks.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 12 weeks ago the fuel pump failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,050. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 2 children. Before the breakdown I worked twelve hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $1,050 goes: • fuel pump replacement (parts): $590 • Labor charges: $145 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $230 • Towing and inspection: $85 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Updates from Kobi

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 58% funded and I made the first payment toward towing and inspection.

  2. Quick update: $525 raised so far (50%). the first invoice got paid this week. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($250 in total) I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Kobi
