Kimberly was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in April. The oncology team at the Oakland Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Kimberly is 28, worked as a shop owner until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Oakland Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $8,200 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,650 • Scans and lab work: $950 • Transport to the Oakland Oncology Institute: $1,200 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $510 • Household costs while unable to work: $1,890 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot. - Ethan

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($1,706 in total) I made the first payment toward nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. We're at 10% thanks to 19 of you. I made the first payment toward chemotherapy and medication not covered. More news soon.
