Help Kimani keep the Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry stocked
Kimani runs a volunteer pantry feeding 340 families; this fund restocks shelves for the winter.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Saturday from the back of a community center. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 340 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 36% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kikuyu market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $230
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $190
• Baby formula and diapers: $75
• Refrigeration and electricity: $55
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Best of luck, Kimani. More neighborhoods should do this. I went through something like this 13 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Sending strength, Kimani. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Greetings from Epe.
Keep going, Kimani. Hope this works out for you. Put this on a community board in San Antonio this morning. Thinking of Kikuyu.
