Help Kevin keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked

The Community Pantry pantry in Kasarani is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Kasarani
Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 61 each week. Donations have dropped by about 53% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kasarani market and keep every receipt. Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $300 goes: • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $195 • Baby formula and diapers: $70 • Refrigeration and electricity: $35 Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure. - Kevin
