Kelly was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in March. The oncology team at São Paulo University Hospital has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Kelly is 55, worked as a tailor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to São Paulo University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
