Since 2021, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 24 families, and now we feed 301 each week. Donations have dropped by about 46% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week. We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bonny market and keep every receipt. Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week. I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday. Where the $500 goes: • Fresh vegetables and fruit: $90 • Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $330 • Baby formula and diapers: $80 I hope life is good to you.

          Sure. The biggest one is fresh vegetables and fruit, $90. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
