Violet, my grandmother, passed away on 26 April after a short illness. She was 49 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $5,250 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 7 May. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Violet to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a local food bank. Where the $5,250 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $3,400 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,200 • Transport of the deceased: $420 • Memorial gathering for the family: $230 You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
