Kavitha was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Rohini Community Hospital recommended hip replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $950 short.
my wife has been in and out of Rohini Community Hospital since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without hip replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kavitha struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 7 weeks. During that time Kavitha won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
