Help Kavitha get through 4 hard months with two young children
Kavitha and two young children need a bridge to stability after a house fire.
Anywhere in the world1,231 views
Last August I went through a house fire, and I'm now raising two young children on my own. I work as a cleaner, but my income doesn't cover rent, childcare and groceries.
I'm retraining as a bookkeeper in the evenings, which will triple my income by December, but I need to bridge the gap until then.
Some weeks I skip meals so my children can eat. I have never asked anyone for help like this before, and I'm doing it for them.
Once I finish my course, I'll pay it forward.
Money goes toward rent, groceries, after-school care and the cost of my course. I'll give a monthly update with receipts.
Where the $550 goes:
• Rent top-up: $160
• Childcare and after-school care: $170
• Groceries and school meals: $90
• Course fees and exam costs: $130
If you're reading this, thank you.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Syracuse.
Wishing you the best. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Riverside so I could bring a meal. All the best.
