Embakasi
After bullying at school, Kato has struggled with anxiety, sleep and panic attacks. The doctor has referred him to weekly cognitive behavioral therapy, but the public waiting list is 9 months, and private sessions at Embakasi Wellbeing Centre cost $15 each. Kato has been honest with his employer and taken some time off, but can't keep going without support. Therapy has already helped a little in the sessions Kato could afford. The therapist recommends 20 weekly sessions, and consistent help will make the difference. Asking for help with this has been the hardest part for Kato, and we're grateful for your kindness without judgment. The money will be paid directly to the counselor's practice, with a session-by-session record. Where the $405 goes: • 20 therapy sessions: $340 • Psychiatric assessment: $60 • Workbook and resources: $5 Thanks for being kind about this.

  • Praying for you, Omondi. Wishing Kato a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My neighbor in Kraków donated after I showed her your page

    • Best of luck, Omondi. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.

      • praying for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Take care.
