Help Kartika pay for knee replacement surgery at Jakarta Selatan General Hospital
After a herniated spinal disc, Kartika was cleared for knee replacement surgery, but the bill is more than we can manage.

Kartika was diagnosed with a herniated spinal disc in June. The surgeon at Jakarta Selatan General Hospital recommended knee replacement surgery, and She is scheduled for September. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $930, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $650 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Jakarta Selatan General Hospital since June. The doctors say a herniated spinal disc will get worse without knee replacement surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $930 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kartika struggles with daily life and can't climb stairs. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Kartika won't be able to climb stairs, so the costs keep growing.
I'll pay the hospital and pharmacy directly and post every receipt in the updates section.
Where the $650 goes:
• Post-operative medication: $45
• Physiotherapy sessions: $80
• Travel and lodging for the family: $45
• Hospital stay (2 nights): $480

Hope it all works out, Zahra. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best.
