Patrick, my uncle, passed away on 8 September after complications from pneumonia. He was 48 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 18 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Patrick to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Funeral home services and casket: $1,300
• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,550
• Transport of the deceased: $550
