The gas account is 3 months behind. Kamal received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless $100 is paid. He had never been late before losing my job in April.
Kamal called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $15 first, which isn't available.
The household includes three children under ten, and going through summer without gas isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Kamal is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
