Help keep a free food pantry open for neighbors in need in Bhaktapur.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Saturday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 373 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 44% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Bhaktapur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $200 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $60
• Baby formula and diapers: $70
• Refrigeration and electricity: $70
I hope life is good to you.

Stay strong. Hope you get there. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
Thinking of you. I hope things turn around soon. My husband and I read this together. All the best.
Stay strong. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
Praying for you, Kalpana. This could happen to any of us. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Take care
