Help Kagiso pay for palate reconstruction surgery at Saint Elizabeth Hospital
A scheduled palate reconstruction surgery in April is out of reach without help covering $800 of the cost.

Kagiso was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in January. The surgeon at Saint Elizabeth Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,350, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $800 short.
my mother has been in and out of Saint Elizabeth Hospital since January. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,350 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Kagiso struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Kagiso won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
The money goes straight to the treatment bills, and I'll share the invoices as they're paid so you can see exactly what your gift did.
Where the $800 goes:
• Travel and lodging for the family: $55
• Physiotherapy sessions: $230
• Hospital stay (3 nights): $515
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you and your family. Hope the doctors have good news. Sent it to 14 people at work. Thinking of Johannesburg!
