Vishal, my husband, passed away on 14 January after a short illness. He was 88 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance. The funeral home has given us a quote of $700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 23 January. I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Vishal to have a dignified farewell. Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers. Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program. Where the $700 goes: • Funeral home services and casket: $380 • Cemetery plot and burial fees: $250 • Transport of the deceased: $40 • Memorial gathering for the family: $30 Every share and every dollar helps.
