Julieta was diagnosed with kidney cancer in June. The oncology team at Pittsburgh Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks.
Julieta is 49, worked as a bank teller until June, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Pittsburgh Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Household costs while unable to work: $1,150
• Transport to Pittsburgh Cancer Centre: $840
• Scans and lab work: $1,700
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $8,760
