Julieta was diagnosed with a thyroid nodule that needs removal in July. The surgeon at Granada Regional Medical Center recommended ACL reconstruction, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $4,950, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $3,700 short.
my mother has been in and out of Granada Regional Medical Center since July. The doctors say a thyroid nodule that needs removal will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $4,950 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Julieta struggles with daily life and can't drive. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 3 weeks. During that time Julieta won't be able to drive, so the costs keep growing.
