Help Julian through 6 rounds of treatment for early-stage lung cancer
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇬🇧 United Kingdom903 views
Julian was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in May. The oncology team at Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 12 weeks.
Julian is 49, worked as a construction supervisor until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $6,750 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,850
• Scans and lab work: $680
• Transport to Newcastle upon Tyne University Hospital: $830
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $630
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,760
Glad we found this place.
