Help Julian keep the Community Pantry pantry stocked
The Community Pantry pantry in Newcastle upon Tyne is running low just as demand rises; $2,650 will stock it for 11 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Sunday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 25 families, and now we feed 222 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 45% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Newcastle upon Tyne market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,500
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $370
• Baby formula and diapers: $500
• Refrigeration and electricity: $280

Thinking of you and your family, Julian. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out.
Wishing you the best, Julian. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor in Los Angeles donated after I showed her your page. Love from Los Angeles.
Sending strength, Julian. Shared it with a few friends. All the best
