Help Julián keep the Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry stocked
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Iztapalapa is running low just as demand rises; $1,000 will stock it for 10 weeks.

Since 2023, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 19 families, and now we feed 178 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 37% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Iztapalapa market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $1,000 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $330
• Baby formula and diapers: $180
• Refrigeration and electricity: $40
With deep gratitude,
Julián

Hope it all works out. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Love from Kharkiv.
Thinking of you, Julián. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Konya so I could bring a meal. Love from Addis Ababa.
Wishing you the best, Julián. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I hope March is when things finally get easier. Love from Brampton.
