Help Josefa keep the the Harvest Pantry pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for students and shift workers in Tarragona.
🇪🇸 Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain2,750 views
Since 2023, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the parish hall. We started with 25 families, and now we feed 400 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 58% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 16 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Tarragona market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,600 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,100
• Refrigeration and electricity: $165
• Baby formula and diapers: $335
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Take care, Josefa. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Blessings.
Stay strong, Josefa. Great idea, hope you get there. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. All the best.
