For twelve years I have run a flower stall in Birmingham. In April, a long illness and repossession took display cabinets and a cooler. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 1 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 7 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $2,400 goes: • Working capital for the first month: $310 • Replacing display cabinets and a cooler: $1,600 • Shop repairs and licensing: $490 I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support. - Jonathan

Updates from Jonathan

  1. Update from Birmingham: we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. We're at 41% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($736 in total) the plan for replacing display cabinets and a cooler is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
