Help John with an overdue water bill before the rainy season
A disconnection notice for water arrived and John needs $600 before June.
🇺🇸 Tallahassee, Florida, United States298 views
The water account is 2 months behind. John received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless $600 is paid. He had never been late before March's medical emergency.
John called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $130 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a disabled brother, and going through the rainy season without water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
John is working on getting back on his feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $600 goes:
• Electricity arrears: $360
• Reconnection and late fees: $110
• Down payment on a payment plan: $130
With deep gratitude,
Jonathan

Rooting for you, Jonathan. Shared it with a few friends. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Jakarta this morning. All the best
