John Paul was diagnosed with a cleft palate needing repair in November. The surgeon at Makati Orthopedic Institute recommended ACL reconstruction, and He is scheduled for February. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,500, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $1,050 short.
my father has been in and out of Makati Orthopedic Institute since November. The doctors say a cleft palate needing repair will get worse without ACL reconstruction. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,500 is more than we can find.
While we wait, John Paul struggles with daily life and can't stand for more than ten minutes. His family has taken turns caring for him, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time John Paul won't be able to stand for more than ten minutes, so the costs keep growing.
