Help Joaquim replace the suspension and return to work

Without my pickup Joaquim cannot work; a $250 repair would put him back on the road.

I make my living with my pickup. 4 weeks ago the suspension failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $250. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 3 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal. Where the $250 goes: • Road tax and insurance renewal: $50 • Towing and inspection: $20 • suspension replacement (parts): $180 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Updates from Joaquim

  1. Wanted to say thank you properly. 4% funded and I met with the mechanic and confirmed the amounts.

  2. Quick update: $20 raised so far (8%). we've booked the dates and paid the deposit. Receipts coming as soon as I have them.

  3. Good news. Because of your gifts ($27 in total) the plan for suspension replacement is now scheduled. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
