Help Joaquim replace the gearbox and return to work
Without my food truck Joaquim can't work; a $400 repair would put him back on the road.
🇧🇷 Santos, São Paulo, Brazil988 views
I make my living with my food truck. 4 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $400. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my wife and our newborn. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update.
Where the $400 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $240
• Labor charges: $45
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $80
• Towing and inspection: $35
Thanks for being kind about this.
