Help Joanna keep her home - 3 months behind on rent
The loss of a second income left Joanna short on rent for 3 months; help us stay in our home.

When my hours were cut in half in July, Joanna fell 3 months behind on rent. Last Monday a court summons for non-payment was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $1,900.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by November, the family must leave.
There are a teenager still in school at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Joanna has started working evenings as a cleaner, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Rent arrears (3 months): $1,500
• Late fees and court costs: $75
• Utilities in arrears: $55
• First month of rent as a buffer: $270

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (3 months) comes first ($1,500) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. It helps to be asked.
