Following a long illness in the family, Jing fell 5 months behind on rent. Last Thursday a termination letter was taped to the door, and the amount owed is $4,100.
The landlord was understanding for a while, but has now been clear: if the arrears aren't cleared by December, the family must leave.
There are three school-aged children at home. Moving would mean new schools, a new commute and no deposit to put down anywhere else.
Jing has started working weekend shifts, and is applying for help from local services, but nothing will arrive in time without the rest of the gap covered here.
The money will be paid directly to the landlord and I'll upload the receipt once it's done.

Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Jing.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rent arrears (5 months) comes first ($3,150) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
