Jenny was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in February. The surgeon at Calamba University Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for April. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,550, and after what our health plan will pay we're still $1,100 short.
my wife has been in and out of Calamba University Hospital since February. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,550 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Jenny struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Recovery is expected to take about 4 weeks. During that time Jenny won't be able to work a full shift, so the costs keep growing.
