I make my living with my motorbike. 10 weeks ago the engine head gasket failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $900. Without the vehicle I earn nothing. I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask. I support my 4 children. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working. I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here. I'll pay the mechanic directly and show you the repaired vehicle in an update. Where the $900 goes: • engine head gasket replacement (parts): $470 • Labor charges: $150 • Road tax and insurance renewal: $125 • Towing and inspection: $155 If you're reading this, thank you.

Stay strong. Small businesses are the heart of Edinburgh. Hope you're open again soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry.

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. engine head gasket replacement (parts) comes first ($470) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid.
