Liverpool

For fifteen years I have run a phone repair counter in Liverpool. In April, a storm that collapsed the roof took a soldering station and testing tools. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 3 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $3,800 goes: • Replacing a soldering station and testing tools: $1,950 • Initial stock: replacement parts: $720 • Shop repairs and licensing: $490 • Working capital for the first month: $640 If you're reading this, thank you.

Good news. Because of your gifts ($298 in total) the first invoice got paid this week. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely. - Janet
Thank you all. We're at 7% now ($273). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the supplier and confirmed the amounts.
Good news. Because of your gifts ($250 in total) I made the first payment toward replacing a soldering station and testing tools. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.
