Janet lost her husband suddenly and the family can't cover funeral and burial costs of $3,800.

Marcus, my husband, passed away on 13 September after a sudden heart attack. He was 52 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $3,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 2 October.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Marcus to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.

• Cemetery plot and burial fees: $1,100
• Transport of the deceased: $140
