Help Janani with work-permit appeal filing and attorney fees
Janani needs $550 for filing fees and representation in a work-permit appeal before the November deadline.

Janani is facing a work-permit appeal. The hearing is scheduled for November, and the filing fees and the lawyer's retainer come to $550. Three legal-aid offices have said their waiting lists are longer than the deadline.
Janani has all the paperwork ready, and a caseworker at a local immigrant rights clinic has confirmed that the case is valid.
If the deadline is missed Janani could lose the right to stay with the family and the job. The children were born here and this is the only home they know.
Funds cover only the filing fees, translations and attorney retainer.
Where the $550 goes:
• Attorney retainer: $360
• Filing and biometrics fees: $130
• Certified translations and document copies: $25
• Court-appointed interpreter and travel: $35
With deep gratitude,
Nandini
