Jacob is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a degree in civil engineering at London State College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a night-shift cleaner to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $1,700. The registrar has said Jacob can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Jacob has a 3.8 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Jacob would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Jacob isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the London State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt. Where the $1,700 goes: • Textbooks and materials: $310 • Exam and lab fees: $220 • Final term tuition: $1,170 Thank you for reading my story. - Lydia
