Back to business - Eliana's comeback in Houston
Eliana lost a commercial oven to floodwater and needs $2,450 to reopen a neighborhood bakery and support the family.

For nine years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Houston. In April, floodwater took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me.
Before that, my customers came every Saturday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 8 weeks.
This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment.
Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item.
Once I'm back on my feet I plan to hire back the people I had to let go.
Where the $2,450 goes:
• Replacing a commercial oven: $1,050
• Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $530
• Shop repairs and licensing: $280
• Working capital for the first month: $590
If you're reading this, thank you.
