After the rent increase, I found a safe, affordable apartment in San Francisco, and the lease starts on Saturday. I have two children, a few pieces of furniture and no money for movers. I'm hoping for 3-4 helpers for about four hours. If you have a van or pickup, that would help enormously - I'll cover fuel. The old place is on the second floor and the new place has just one flight of stairs. We'll do it in two trips. Lunch and cold drinks are on me. I know this is a lot to ask of strangers. I'd be happy to share references from my landlord and my employer. Thank you for reading my story.
