Isha was diagnosed with gallstones with repeated infections in August. The surgeon at Dwarka Orthopedic Institute recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for October. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,200, and after what my insurance will pay we're still $900 short. my daughter has been in and out of Dwarka Orthopedic Institute since August. The doctors say gallstones with repeated infections will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,200 is more than we can find. While we wait, Isha struggles with daily life and can't lift anything heavy. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there. Recovery is expected to take about 8 weeks. During that time Isha won't be able to lift anything heavy, so the costs keep growing.
