Isaiah is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a nursing degree at San Diego Community College, and is two terms away from graduating. He has worked as a warehouse packer to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $6,200. The registrar has said Isaiah can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Isaiah has a 3.9 average, and a professor has written in support. Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Isaiah would lose his place and scholarship eligibility. Isaiah isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student. The payment will go directly to the San Diego Community College bursar's office.
