The Open Hands Pantry pantry in Boulogne-Billancourt is running low just as demand rises; $1,900 will stock it for 7 weeks.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Tuesday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 15 families, and now we feed 76 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 48% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Boulogne-Billancourt market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,900 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $500
• Refrigeration and electricity: $280
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,120
