Isabel was diagnosed with a deviated septum causing chronic infections in February. The surgeon at Angeles Regional Medical Center recommended cataract surgery, and She is scheduled for May. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,850, and after what my employer's plan will pay we're still $1,300 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Angeles Regional Medical Center since February. The doctors say a deviated septum causing chronic infections will get worse without cataract surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,850 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Isabel struggles with daily life and can't look after the children alone. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
The recovery period is expected to take about 5 weeks. During that time Isabel won't be able to look after the children alone, so the costs keep growing.
