Isabel was diagnosed with a torn ligament that needs reconstruction in January. The surgeon at Taguig Regional Medical Center recommended a craniotomy, and She is scheduled for March. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $930, and after what the public health scheme will pay we're still $650 short.
my sister has been in and out of Taguig Regional Medical Center since January. The doctors say a torn ligament that needs reconstruction will get worse without a craniotomy. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $930 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Isabel struggles with daily life and can't walk without help. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
Rehabilitation is expected to take about 10 weeks. During that time Isabel won't be able to walk without help, so the costs keep growing.
