I earned a place in the first year of senior school at Yogyakarta Boys' High School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the coding course, and a uniform. My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $150, which is more than we have. I love coding and want to become an architect. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours. I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard. Items on the list: laptop, uniform, shoes, textbooks, calculator and a bag. Where the $150 goes: • Laptop: $70 • School uniform and shoes: $25 • Textbooks and workbooks: $25 • Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $30 Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Updates from Irma

  1. Good news. Because of your gifts ($30 in total) I made the first payment toward calculator, stationery and a school bag. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

Best of luck, Irma. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. I went through something like this 11 years ago and strangers helped me out. Thinking of Yogyakarta
