Help Irfan keep the the Second Helping pantry stocked
The the Second Helping pantry in Sukkur is running low just as demand rises; $300 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Second Helping every Monday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 29 families, and now we feed 314 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 51% this rainy season, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 14 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Sukkur market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $300 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $155
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $50
• Baby formula and diapers: $60
• Refrigeration and electricity: $35
Thank you so much.

Best of luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. All the best
is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Irfan.
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) comes first ($155) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
Sending strength. Great idea, hope you get there. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Take care.
take care. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Multan.
Hang in there, Irfan. Looking forward to the next update.
Good luck, Irfan. Shared it with a few friends. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this, Irfan. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Blessings
