Help Irfan keep the Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry stocked
Help keep a free food pantry open for families facing hunger in Jakarta Barat.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Monday from the back of the mosque courtyard. We started with 16 families, and now we feed 166 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 31% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 11 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta Barat market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $350 goes:
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $95
• Baby formula and diapers: $85
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $170

The list at the bottom is the whole picture. fresh vegetables and fruit is the biggest at $95. Let me know if you want more detail.
