The heating account is 2 months behind. Ioanna received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on November unless $350 is paid. She had never been late before losing my job in August.
Ioanna called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which isn't available.
The household includes an elderly mother, and going through winter without heating isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home.
Ioanna is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
