Help Inés replace the transmission and return to work
Without my tuk-tuk Inés can't work; a $1,050 repair would put her back on the road.

I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 6 weeks ago the transmission failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,050. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked eleven hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next six months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,050 goes:
• transmission replacement (parts): $800
• Towing and inspection: $50
• Labor charges: $200
With deep gratitude,
Inés

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Inés
Hope you get there. We're a small family in Guadalupe but we're thinking of you.
Sending love. This could happen to any of us. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Vigo
