Imani was diagnosed with a large ovarian cyst in May. The surgeon at Kasarani University Hospital recommended palate reconstruction surgery, and She is scheduled for July. The hospital's financial office gave us a written estimate of $1,600, and after what the government subsidy will pay we're still $1,200 short.
my daughter has been in and out of Kasarani University Hospital since May. The doctors say a large ovarian cyst will get worse without palate reconstruction surgery. We have emptied our savings and borrowed from relatives, but the estimate of $1,600 is more than we can find.
While we wait, Imani struggles with daily life and can't work a full shift. Her family has taken turns caring for her, and I've cut my own work hours to be there.
