Himari is the first person in the family to go to university. She is studying an electrical engineering diploma at Osaka State College, and is one term away from graduating. She has worked as a delivery rider to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $4,200.
The registrar has said Himari can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Himari has a 3.8 average, and a faculty supervisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Himari would lose her place and scholarship eligibility.
Himari isn't asking for a handout - She wants to finish what She started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Osaka State College bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $4,200 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $1,550
• Final term tuition: $2,250
• Exam and lab fees: $280
• Textbooks and materials: $120
