Since 2019, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Monday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 25 families, and now we feed 111 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 42% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $450 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $115
• Baby formula and diapers: $90
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

Praying for you. Looking forward to the next update. After 8 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
